Elzear Volume 1 - English Edition
The comic book
I am very proud to present to you the English version of Elzear Volume 1 !
I chose to bring together chapters 1 to 22 in this 232-page volume, covering the story from the beginning up to the end of the Cactarium.
Yom-yoms, Irka's first encounter, the priests, the cactis, gostretonne, Cereus… All of that between your hands :)
Colors
For this print, I chose a white semi-matte coated paper. The colors are vibrant, and the image sharpness and details are spot-on.
Post-press
For the binding, I chose the most durable option: a sewn perfect binding. The cover features long 10 cm flaps that extend the illustration.
The digital artbook
To celebrate the release of the comic, I created a downloadable digital artbook that lets you dive deeper into Elzear’s world. Inside, you’ll find character designs, sketches, concept art, animation insights, production materials, behind-the-scenes of episode creation, and a Q&A section. This artbook is available in the limited Ultimate and Artbook editions.
Unreleased content with commentary
Each part of the digital artbook is commented on. I explain my approach, share anecdotes, and some of my creative processes. I hope you’ll enjoy it! :)
